Brian Phillips Joins Bank of Washington

Washington, MO – Bank of Washington Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer L. B. Eckelkamp, Jr. has recently announced the addition of Brian Phillips as Vice President of Commercial Lending.

“Brian adds a new level of experience and expertise with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) lending to our commercial lending team,” stated Bank of Washington President Louis B. “Buzz” Eckelkamp, III. “We are excited to have him join the team and provide our customers with additional opportunities through SBA Lending that will strengthen local businesses and the community at the same time.”

Phillips joins the bank with over 21 years of lending experience. His experience ranges from retail branch management to business banking to SBA and commercial lending, with most recent experience in financial leadership, management, analysis, business development, commercial and industrial lending, and diversity and inclusion lending. Additionally, he is a Certified Women’s Business Advocate where he organizes events to educate, inspire and empower women in business.

With the ability to provide quick lending decisions and a strong focus on service, I am eager to build and continue to grow relationships with new and existing customers.”

Phillips is a graduate of Union High School and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from Fontbonne University. He volunteers as a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the state of Missouri and as a board member of the Exceptional Equestrian organization. He has been honored with “Man of the Year” recognition by Union Jaycees and Union Chamber of Commerce, participated in the Union Missouri Government Leadership Program, former president of Kiwanis,  former treasurer and vice president of Franklin County Court-Appointed Special Advocate for Children, and former Athena Powerlink Chairman.
