Downtown Construction Project
The Bank of Washington embarked on the biggest building project in its history in 2007 to triple the size of its Downtown Headquarters. The building was completed in 2009. The project involved building a steel “table” over the existing bank building to support a separate three-story building above it. The two buildings are now covered with a single brick and stone façade to make them look like one. The design features historical architectural influences from other buildings downtown. In 2010, we had an open house for community members to take a tour of the new facility, over 3,500 people attend the event.
